I had another musical audition yesterday. I sang “Time to Remember” from The Fantasticks, which my singing teacher recommended because it’s damn easy. From pretty much the moment I stepped onto the stage I forgot just about everything she’d taught me. At least I hit the right notes, so there’s a chance my monologue will carry me the rest of the way.
Today I received my first official plaque for the first game I’ve been on the development team of. It is exciting to have… and in addition I’ve discovered I now have a rap sheet at MobyGames, a website that maintains a catalogue of data and statistics from games, kind of like IMDB. Well, the rap sheet’s pretty short, but it can only grow from hereon in, right? (I submitted my picture and a link to my website, so my legions of fans can find me even more easily now.)
The Seattle Improv Festival starts next week. I’m gonna try to make as many shows as I practically can, and I’m booked solid in workshops that weekend. So if the cure for my fatigue is out there, I probably won’t be stumbling across it next week.
Dan.
